The central pennants for each set of bunting are made from one of the copper roof sheets that have recently been removed from Chichester Cathedral's roof.
The Cathedral's iconic green copper roof is currently being replaced as part of a restoration project.
It seems fitting that the churches
taking part in the Edge to Edge
project, which are in the Chichester
Diocese, now have a piece of it's
incredible history.
The palette of embroidery threads represent different seasons:
Henfield - SPRING: Yellow, Orange, Green and Blue
Partridge Green - SUMMER: Green, Pink and Blue
Bramber - AUTUMN: Brown, Green, Orange and Red
In these images the individually hand stitched pennants were laid on one of the copper roof sheets, showing the green patina.
